Coaching for adults

I have been lucky enough to coach people from many walks of life, but have particular experience with the following areas. Please don’t feel these areas are exhaustive. If you think we might work well together, please get in touch!

Small business owners, freelancers, sole traders, solopreneurs…

If you are running a small business, or several, it’s common to encounter challenges along the way. In practical terms, you may find yourself drowning in paperwork, failing to advertise, constantly stuck in your inbox, letting too many of the balls in the air drop, and more.

I can help you think through your options and find solutions that will work for your business. I’m not going to sell you some app or hack, but I will help you work out what you might need, and how to go about finding it. This work can get to the core of what your business is, and how you want it to develop. With my background in positive psychology, I’ll also be looking out for balance, building a sustainable approach to work, and ways to use your strengths and values to help things work in an easier way overall.

Martial arts instructors

As an instructor, I loved teaching, but I also got burnt out, stressed and demotivated at times. I know how rewarding teaching can be, and how hard, and I can help you find balance, techniques to keep your passion for your art, and a place to talk through your challenges.

Martial arts students

I’m particularly experienced helping with facing fears, keeping momentum, finding balance, and getting the most from each class.

As a student of martial arts, my instructors provided guidance not only in how to develop technically, but also mentally. I believe the first job of a martial arts student is to find a good instructor and then follow their guidance. However, as a student I also found that there were areas, specific to me, that I had to work on without the help or guidance of my instructor. This is the gap I help to fill in my coaching.
